Some times it is easy to condemn those who are suffering and conclude that it is because of their evil deeds that they are victims of natural disasters or any kind of catastrophes. Jesus gave the right answer to those who came to him with such attitude as reported in Luke 13:1-9: “At that time some people were there who told Jesus about the Galileans whom Pilate had killed while they were offering sacrifices to God. 2 Jesus answered them, "Because those Galileans were killed in that way, do you think it proves that they were worse sinners than all other Galileans?
3 No indeed! And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did. 4 What about those eighteen people in Siloam who were killed when the tower fell on them? Do you suppose this proves that they were worse than all the other people living in Jerusalem? 5 No indeed! And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did." 6 Then Jesus told them this parable: "There was once a man who had a fig tree growing in his vineyard. He went looking for figs on it but found none. 7 So he said to his gardener, 'Look, for three years I have been coming here looking for figs on this fig tree, and I haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it go on using up the soil?' 8 But the gardener answered, 'Leave it alone, sir, just one more year; I will dig around it and put in some fertilizer.

Theme: Do not take it for granted
9 Then if the tree bears figs next year, so much the better; if not, then you can have it cut down.' ” (GNB)
Let us pray for the people of Haiti, what has happened to them could happen anywhere else in the world. This is a wake up call for the entire world. God is patient, giving you time to put your life in order as the fig tree in verse 6-8; God is digging around fertilizing your life through preachers, friends, and many other circumstances of your life. God is giving you one more year: Do not take it for granted.
1. Good spirits : There are good and bad spirits, but there are only one Holy Spirit. When we talk about good spirits, it’s not necessarily referring to the Holy Spirit, but to other good divine and Angelic spirits and good human spirits.
a. Holy Spirit
b. Angelic Spirits: The Bible calls the Angels as good spirits assigned to human. Hebrews 1:14 “But to which of the angels, did He say at any time, "Sit on My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool? Are they (Angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation?” (MKJV).
There are many angels, and the Bible tells us that God has assigned an angelic (good spirit) with every single believer. But one import point is that we are not to worship or pray to the angels, they are there to protect us and serve God. Angels are really close to us than we might think. As we see in the Bible, angels have been at work and appearing to human all throughout history.
Saturday 09 to Sunday 10, 2010
Theme: Two kinds of spirits
c. Human Spirits: The Bible refers to us (humans) as also being spirits. As a human, you have a spirit which is not necessarily bad because that spirit is you. You are a spirit, having a soul and living in a body. 1Thessalonians 5:23 “May the God who gives us peace make you holy in every way and keep your whole being---spirit, soul, and body---free from every fault at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (GNB); Hebrews 12:23 “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the first-born who are written in Heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect” (MKJV)
2. Bad spirits:These spirits were not bad spirits at the beginning, but as they followed the Devil and rebelled against God, they became unclean, demonic, and bad spirits. (Rev 12:1-11) The Bible warns us not to be deceived by those bad spirits. 1 john 4:1 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits to see if they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world”.
Sometime these spirits can do things that can amaze our human minds, but the truth is that these spirits are evil. God warns us not to worship or even come close to those who worship those spirits. Leviticus 19:31 “You shall not turn to mediums, and you shall not seek to spirit-knowers to be defiled by them. I am Jehovah your God.” and Isaiah 8:19 Bad spirits are the powers behind every idol.

Theme: Eight actions of the Holy Spirit from Repentance to Resurrection
1.To Convince the sinner (john 16:8) : This brings repentance
2.To Regenerate the believer (Titus 3:5) : This results in New Birth
3.To seal the believer (Ephesians 4:30) : This guarantees the redemption
4.To fill (Romans 8:9, Ephesians 5:18) : This results in the infilling of the Spirit
5.To Lead (Romans8:14, Galatians 5:16:23) : This brings maturity and character
6.To Equip with supernatural capacities (1Corinthians 12:1-12) : For adoration and service
7.To Empower (Acts 1:8): This gives power, audacity, zeal to witness for Christ
8.To Quicken our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11): This gives a victorious life and the ability to rise from the dead at the return of Christ.

Theme : Chosen, filled with the Holy Spirit and enabled.
From Dr. Emmanuel SONI :
In 2010 God has (1) chosen you, (2) filled you will the Holy Spirit and (3)given you skills and knowledge to create, invent and make things happen. He has enabled you to do things that seemed impossible in the past.
GOD spoke to Moses:
"See what I've done; I've personally chosen Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah. 3 I've filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know-how and expertise in every kind of craft 4 to create designs and work in gold, silver, and bronze; 5 to cut and set gemstones; to carve wood--he's an all-around craftsman. 6"Not only that, but I've given him Oholiab, son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan, to work with him.
And to all who have an aptitude for crafts I've given the skills to make all the things I've commanded you: 7the Tent of Meeting, the Chest of The Testimony and its Atonement-Cover, all the implements for the Tent, 8the Table and its implements, the pure Lampstand and all its implements, the Altar of Incense, 9the Altar of Whole-Burnt-Offering and all its implements, the Washbasin and its base, (Exodus 31: 1-9)

Theme : In the Valley
(Summary of Teachings)
I want to assure you that the lesson you learned on the mountain may not be useful or may not help you when you are in the valley. When you are in the valley, remember: there are some stones there, that can help you overtake your giant. It may be hard to accept the valley, but there is victory if we take the stones and fight the giant. Let God teach us to know how to take the stones in the valley
Prayer: Lord, help me to understand and learn the lessons that you want me to learn while in the valley. Father, help me and my brethren to see the small stones that you have provided so that with these and these alone we can overcome the enemy.
Give me the eyes to see the stones. In Jesus name. Amen.
Our message is based on 1Sa 17:1-58
Today I want to share something that has spoken to my heart these days. I was praying for the situation in Haiti and the word “In the Valley” was sounding in my heart over and over. For those who do not live in valleys our mountains, you may not know how life is in these places. There are people who like to live in valleys and there are some others who like the mountains. If the mountains are too high, People will like to live in the valleys. But for those who are in valleys that are too deep, preventing them the contact with the outside; the place on top of the mountain can be good for them to see all around.
In Israel the notion of Mountain and valley was an illustration of victory or defeat, of joy or suffering. When the Bible talks of mountains most of the time it means something difficult to achieve. Jesus gave us the authority to say to the mountain to be cast out into the sea. At this time the mountain is like a problem or a situation that we are facing. In the life of David, the valley was a symbol of battle, suffering or even death. When David will faced Goliath, the battle took place in the valley, and the Bible say that the end time battle will take place in the valley. To face Goliath, David went down into the valley. You may be going down the valley in your life when facing problems, misunderstanding, sickness, divorce, death of loved ones, etc.
When David came down the valley to fight Goliath ; he only had a bag and a Staff. Those two things could not help him fight the giant. In other words he did not have any weapon while going down the valley. Here is the message God is giving you: Every time that you going through the valley, the valley of sufferings, problems or challenges, what you will use to overtake Goliath is also there in the valley, in the small brook in the valley. The Bible says that the five smooth stones that David took as weapons to help him fight were there in the valley. These stones can mean that the lessons you learn when you are in the valley or the good character that will come out of you through these times of sufferings. It can also be the good way of understanding the reason why you are in the valley, what you could not understand when on the mountain. Those stones will never be found in the mountain. If David decided to take some stones from the mountain, maybe this could be heavy
At Restoration Church we have seven principles of restoration. The first principle is: “The restoration is possible and is a must”. Because this is the way God wants to repair the damage that the enemy has caused in your life. In Joel 2:25 it is said: “I will give you back what you lost in the years when swarms of locusts ate your crops. It was I who sent this army against you.”
God is a restorer, he can pay us back. Another raison why the restoration is a must is that restoration is a recycle principle, nothing has to be wasted. I want you to have in mind that you can get back everything that you have lost in your life. God is able to restore your family, your life and make you a restorer. No body is too lost that he can not be saved. Even those who have all kind of addiction, or who have a bad reputation can be saved and be restored. Your restoration and that of your loves ones is possible.
Isaiah58:12 “Your people will rebuild what has long been in ruins, building again on the old foundations. You will be known as the people who rebuilt the walls, who restored the ruined houses.”
This verse of the Scripture is vital in our restoration ministry. In the redemption Jesus came to restore us, and he gave us the ministry of restoration. I believe in the restoration of lives, of nations, of people or places. God has called us to be repairer of breach and there is hope in your life. One of the mottos of our church is that: In Christ everything can be taken back. And if you loose something you can get it back multiply in quality and quantity.

The Bible talks about nine dimensions of de fruit of de Spirit. There are nine gifts of the Spirit according to 1Corinthians 12. There is only one fruit of the Spirit, which has nine dimensions. An apple tree will give only one fruit, called “Apple”. These apples can be of different dimensions, colors or shape, but it will still be the same fruit called “Apple”. The fruit of the spirit is one, but shows out in nine dimensions which are:

Theme: The Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Love : : the type of love that God intended for his children is Agapé. This is right kind of love that should be flowing among Christians and also between Christians and non-believers. Agapé is the fellowship of brothers and charity of a giving heart to the needy. This is a love inspired by God and expressed fully in us by the Holy Spirit.
Joy : The kind of joy intended for us is Chara in grec. This type of joy comes because of our salvation through Christ. It doesn’t depend on the circumstances around us. This joy is more than happiness.
Peace: Jesus said I give you my peace and not what the world is trying to give you. Jesus is called the Prince of Peace. The peace that Jesus gives is a state of heart. The original word for this type of peace is Félicite. This peace guarantees that whoever has this type of peace in his heart will never fear anything except God.
Patience : the kind of patience that God gives us. The original Greek word for patience is Macrotumia. This is the type of patience that keeps us steadfast and longsuffering even during trouble times. The Macrotumia patience is the type of patience that acts like a shock absorber in the believers’ life.
Kindness: the original Greek word for this type of kindness is Crestotus. It’s the moral goodness and integrity that helps someone to be a good person.
Goodness: the original Greek word for goodness is Agatasumé. Agatasumé is the up rightness of one self. It’s the kind of goodness that doesn’t know change according to people or circumstances. This is a status of goodness given to those who have the Holy Spirit in them.
Faithfulness: Fidelity, the character of one who can be relied on. It is the attitude of someone who always acts according to what he says or promise. He is trustworthy.
Meekness: the original Greek word used for meekness is Prahotus. Prahotus is more than gentleness. It’s the softness of the heart of a believer. It means that sometimes we have to accept the fact that, though we are right, we can tolerate those who are wrong. The power of meekness is the kind of power that helps us absorb the punches of what the world can throw at us.
Self-control: the self-control or temperance is the power that enables us to master the desires and passions of our flesh.

Theme: The Nine gifts of the Spirit
(according to 1 Corinthians 12)
One thing to note is that these gifts are not listed by order of importance or value because all these gifts are different in various ways.
There are 3 mains categories of gifts of the Spirit:
1. The gifts of Communication: These are the gifts that allow the human to speak like God.
- The gift of Prophecy: it’s the fact of announcing, warning, or saying things ahead of time to edify the church.
- The gift of Tongues: This is the ability to speak an unknown language due to the action of the Holy Spirit into a person.
- The gift of interpreting tongues: this is the ability to translate or interpret what is spoken in tongues by a person filled by the Holy Spirit. This doesn’t mean that a person with this ability is translating because he knows those languages, but he is inspired by the Holy Spirit
2. The gifts of Revelation: These are gifts that allow human to think and see like God
- The Word of Wisdom: this is a kind of wisdom that is superior to the wisdom of man. It is an ability to think on the level where God operates. The Bible presents this as a word; something that is spoken out of the mouth of someone.
- The Word of Knowledge: the ability to know or see something like God sees it. This gift is very visible in the ministry of healing. So basically, someone sees what God
3. The gifts of Power and Ability: To act like God
- The gift of Faith: this is the ability of being assured of something that might seem humanly impossible. Most of the time, people with this gift have the tendency of seeming strange or crazy on the beliefs on what God can do. Generally, someone with
- The gift of Miracles: this is the ability of magnifying or making things doable that would not be normally doable.
shows him, and he tells or describes what God has showed him. The word of knowledge confirms itself to whomever that word was given for.
- The gift of Discernment of spirits: this gift gives the ability to diagnose or discern between good and bad spirit. As we know, there are bad and good spirits and the gift of Discernment helps us to know which spirit is good or bad because the Devil is always trying to hurt God’s people by confusing them.
- The gift of Healing: this gift is only manifested in the realm of physically, spiritually, and emotionally healing. Unlike the gift of miracles or faith, this gift is like a solution to a problem that already exists because sometimes the gift of miracles can prevents something from happening, but in the case of healing, this gift is mostly applied to a problem that is physically, emotionally, or spiritually there.

Theme: Ten Dangerous Sins
affecting our relationship with the Holy Spirit.
1. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matt. 12:31-32) - Jesus himself said to his disciples that whomever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. Then what is a blasphemy? In the context of Matt. 12:31-32, blasphemy is associating an act of the Holy Spirit to be an act of the Devil. If we give credit to the devil for what God has done then we are blaspheming against the Holy Spirit. So Jesus warns us not to declare an action from God to be as coming from the Devil. Some people wonder if they have ever blasphemed against the Holy Spirit. Someone who has blasphemed against the Holy Spirit will never feel the guilt of sin or regret his evil acts. He will have no remorse for sin.
2. Apostasy (Heb. 6:6) - the apostasy is an action of someone separating himself/herself from God, after having experimented the power of the Holy Spirit. 2 Thess. 2:3-12. An apostate is not just a believer who walks lightly in his faith, but someone who has truly experienced the power of God but later turns away from the things of God. Jesus said it would have been better for that person to not even have known the power of God at all. This is a very dangerous level of a person’s spiritual state.
3. Despise the Spirit of grace (Heb. 10:29) : this is the action of disregarding the grace of the Holy Spirit. This means that someone decide to voluntarily live in sin after having received the knowledge of truth. The bible says that what would be the punishment for those who have trampled the Son of God, and who have insulted the Spirit of grace? Because they crucify the Son of God for the second time and put him to shame.
4. Lying to the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3) : in the story of Ananias and Sapphira, we read that this couple tempted and lied to the Spirit.
5. Tempting the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:9) : Is to do evil and hide assuming that the Holy Spirit or the people of God will not know about it.
6. Simony (trying to buy or sell the Holy Spirit) (Acts 8:18-23) - simony is the fact that someone is trying to buy or sell the power of the Holy Spirit. The real truth is that the Holy Spirit is freely available to anyone who has truly accepted Christ in his heart.
